Individual Counseling:
With over 25 years of experience in psychotherapy, I treat clients for a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, compulsive behaviors, grief and loss, trauma recovery, low-self esteem, addictions, bi-polar depression, relationship trauma, betrayal trauma.

Women’s Counseling:
Women experience a variety of stressors unique to women. I treat women for issues that are specific to women such as sexual abuse, rape trauma, body image issues, post-partum depression.

Children and teens:
I treat children and teen girls with adjustment issues. Teens face a range of issues, such as, facing the divorce of parents, a significant move, or loss of a loved one. Other concerns may also include eating disorders, cutting, or mood swings.

Multicultural Counseling:
I work hard to be culturally aware.  I take time to ask questions, and to allow my client's to help me understand how their culture impacts them. I personally believe culture is a beautiful aspect of life, and should be appreciated. I have enjoyed working with Indian clients, Hindu clients, black clients, and Hispanic clients.  I have also worked with individuals from various perspectives on sexuality.  I make it a priority to support you.

Christian Counseling:

Faith perspectives are important for Christian clients to include in the therapeutic process.  I enjoy discussing Biblical perspectives, identity formation, and development of insight in regards to faith and relationship with God.

Vision Statement:
To help clients attain better mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Supervision:

Counselors who desire to deepen their counseling skills can choose to seek supervision.  Clinical supervision is an activity that brings skilled supervisors and practitioners together in order to reflect upon the interventions they use. It is a time set aside to further develop knowledge and skills in order to improve the care that is provided.

Supervision Experience

I have had the privilege of supervising many students during internships and practicum, toward their completion of training since the year 2000.   I have also supervised counselors toward attaining their license.  I have had specific training in supervision, due to the 18 credit hour requirement that the state of Illinois requires for licensure.
